World Thinking Day & Passport Event Prep
Celebrate global sisterhood this World Thinking Day! Observed annually on February 22, World Thinking Day is a time for Girl Scouts across the globe to learn about other cultures and honor our international movement.
- What to Do Now: Start researching and planning! Troops are encouraged to pick a country (or countries) to explore, learn about its traditions and culture, and begin designing a booth for our upcoming Passport Event. (Official booth sign-up)
- Save the Date: Our SU Passport Event will take place later in March, where troops will showcase their research, host interactive activities, and share treats as Scouts “travel the world” with their passports.
Reach out to your troop to pick your country and start brainstorming!
Troops can pick any country where a recognized Girl Guide or Girl Scout organization exists. Popular options grouped by region include:
- Western Hemisphere: Canada (Girl Guides of Canada), Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Belize, and Jamaica.
- Europe: United Kingdom (Pax Lodge), Switzerland (Our Chalet), France, Germany, Greece, Poland, and Austria.
- Asia Pacific: India (Sangam), Australia, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, and New Zealand.
- Africa: Kenya, South Africa, Madagascar, Benin, Botswana, Ghana, and Rwanda.
- Arab Region: Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, and Lebanon.
